Is Your MLS Being Proactive With AI Photo Rules?

California’s Assembly Bill 723 became law on Jan. 1. You won’t find MLS in the text, however, MLSs in Cali needed to act (1,2,3) as the bill states a broker/agent “who includes a digitally altered image in an advertisement or other promotional material for the sale of real property shall include in the advertisement or promotional material a statement disclosing that the image has been altered…” As AI advances (see Styldod / Roomvo) and crude Photoshop lingers (above), will your MLS modify its rules proactively? Some MLSs have by their own fortitude.
